Students really respond to this humorous coloring page. I find it is a wonderful tool for discussing animal behavior in a lighthearted way, like how chameleons use their tongues to eat. The bold lines on the lizard and the fly are excellent for developing hand-eye coordination in younger students. The drawing takes patience to color the patterned areas, which is a great lesson for my students. We use this as a brain break or a calm-down corner activity after recess. It’s also a nice conversation starter, as kids get so excited about the lizard's goofy expression and the bug's surprise. I love how it is a simple, engaging sheet that consistently holds their attention.
