Coloring page story

Barnaby the elf was tired. He had so many block towers to build. One block, two blocks, three blocks... a tower. One block, two blocks... another tower. "I wish the blocks would build themselves," he yawned.

This gave him an idea! He found tiny magnets, so small you couldn't see them. He put one happy magnet in one block, and another happy magnet in the next.

Plot Twist: When he tipped the box of blocks onto the floor, they didn't just spill. The magnets found each other! Click, clack, click! The blocks wiggled and jiggled and built themselves into a perfect, colorful castle.

Interactive Element: Let’s pretend our hands are magnets! Clap them together. CLICK!

Coloring page Age Appropriateness

The blocky, geometric style is ideal for children 3-5, reinforcing their understanding of basic shapes. The concept of building a castle is a timeless and exciting play pattern. The large, distinct block sections are easy for small hands to color, promoting a sense of accomplishment. This Santa's Workshop scene is simple enough to understand and complex enough to be engaging.

Coloring Page Coloring Instructions

Wow, Barnaby's blocks are building a castle all by themselves! Let's give this magical castle some amazing colors. You can make every block a different color, or you can create a pattern. What color will the pointy roofs be? Don't forget to color in the tired but happy elf, Barnaby!

Coloring Page Printing Tips

Use a slightly heavier paper, like 24 lb or 67 lb cardstock, to give this 'construction' page a sturdy feel. Printing in 'high quality' mode will ensure the lines of each individual block are sharp, making it easier to color within them. A good print helps build a better Santa's Workshop creation!

Recommended Tools

This page is perfect for a set of colored pencils, allowing for coloring each block with precision. Broad-tip markers are also great for quickly filling in the block shapes with solid, vibrant color. It's a great page for practicing control and color planning.
