Coloring page story

Barnaby the elf was testing a new toy train. It had a little chimney and big, round wheels. He pushed the button. Instead of going "Choo-choo!", the train went "Mooooo!" Barnaby giggled. "That's not right!" He checked the sound box. It was a cow's moo! He couldn't find a "choo-choo" sound anywhere.

Twist: Barnaby didn't take the "moo" out. He built a little toy barn for the train to go through and added a little toy cow to ride in the last car. It became the famous "Moo-Moo Express," the silliest train in the whole workshop!

Coloring page Age Appropriateness

The 3-5 age group loves personified objects and silly concepts. A train that says 'moo' is a perfectly logical and funny idea to them. The shapes are geometric and simple (circles for wheels, squares for cars), which aligns with their shape recognition skills. The large, distinct objects prevent frustration and encourage successful coloring.

Coloring Page Coloring Instructions

Oh look, it's the Moo-Moo Express! Can you help make it the most colorful train at the North Pole? You can color the train engine one color, and each car a different color! What color is the silly cow? Don't forget to color the big red barn it's driving through!

Coloring Page Printing Tips

To make this extra fun, print two copies. Let your child color one and use the other to cut out the train and cow for some imaginative play. Using standard A4 or Letter size paper is perfectly fine for this line art.

Recommended Tools

Washable markers will make the train's colors bright and bold. To color the cow's spots, a black crayon is perfect. This mix of tools can make the activity even more engaging for your little artist.
