"We just moved to town, and this is our baby's first Christmas," the woman added, holding a bundled-up infant. "We so wanted her to have a tree."

Farmer Giles’s crinkly eyes softened. "Well," he said, "your tree was waiting for you. It's the very last one on the farm. I think it was waiting for someone very special."

He and the young man carried the tree to their car. As they did, tiny snowflakes began to fall, dusting the tree's branches with a fresh coat of white. The baby in the woman's arms cooed, her eyes wide as she watched the sparkling snow.

The couple thanked the Gables with heartfelt gratitude. As their little car drove away, the single red tail light disappearing down the lane, Mrs. Gable put her hand on her husband's arm.

"Every single tree found its home," she whispered.

Farmer Giles nodded, looking out at the empty, peaceful fields under the falling snow. The work was done. The adventures were over for another year. And all around the town, the magic of the Christmas tree farm was just beginning to glow in a hundred different living rooms, bringing warmth, light, and the promise of a happy Christmas morning.
