Squeaky and Cheeks, two little field mice, decided to have a picnic on the big, flat mushroom. It was the perfect table.

Squeaky brought a crumb of cheese. Cheeks brought a wild berry, red and sweet. They sat down on a soft moss cushion and put their food on a daisy for a plate.

Just as they were about to eat, a tiny ant marched up. "Hello," said the ant. "That looks very yummy."

Squeaky and Cheeks looked at their food, and then at each other. "Would you like to share?" asked Cheeks. They broke their cheese crumb in two and gave the ant the biggest piece. Sharing a tiny picnic with a new friend made it the biggest feast of all.
