Coloring page story

One evening, just before his big flight, Santa put on his big, red coat. "Oh, dear me," he chuckled, his belly jiggling. "A button has popped off!"

Right in the middle of his coat was a bare spot where a big, shiny, black button should have been.

"We can't have that!" said Mrs. Claus, bustling in with her sewing basket. "A drafty coat is no good for a chilly flight."

She found a button as round as a cookie and as black as the night sky. With her needle, she went swoop-swoosh, in-and-out. She pulled the red thread tight. Tug, tug.

Santa patted his tummy. "Perfect! As snug as a bug in a rug. Thank you, my dear." And with his coat all fixed, he was ready to go.

Coloring page Age Appropriateness

The design uses large, simple shapes and thick, clear outlines, which is ideal for the developing motor skills of children aged 3-5. The friendly, rounded characters and simple, heartwarming scene are easily understood and engaging for this age group.

Coloring Page Coloring Instructions

Hello, little artist! Look at this lovely picture. Can you help Mrs. Claus get Santa ready? You can make his coat a bright, cheerful red. What color will Mrs. Claus's dress be? Maybe a festive green or a pretty blue? Don't forget to color the big, round button she is sewing on! The big spaces are perfect for your crayons.

Coloring Page Printing Tips

For best results, print this page on medium-weight cardstock to prevent markers from bleeding through. If using crayons or colored pencils, standard printer paper works wonderfully. Set your printer to a 'black and white' or 'grayscale' high-quality setting to ensure the outlines are crisp and clear.

Recommended Tools

Large, chunky crayons are perfect for little hands that are still developing their grip. Washable markers are also a great, vibrant option. Always supervise coloring time to ensure tools are used safely and no small parts (like marker caps) become choking hazards.
