Sam did a big morning stretch. Yawn! Snowball did a big kitten stretch, too! Sam washed his face with his hands. Snowball licked her paw and washed her face. Sam lay on the rug to play with his cars. Snowball lay on the rug and batted at the wheels.

Sam thought this was very funny. What else could he do? He decided to try something new.

Unexpected Plot Twist: Sam curled up on the floor like a cat, tucking his hands and feet in. He closed his eyes and stayed very still. Snowball watched him, then she padded over, climbed onto his back, curled up into a smaller ball, and started to purr. Sam had become the perfect cat bed!
