Coloring page story
Timothy Turtle loved his beautiful, bumpy shell. It was his house, his shield, and his favourite place to play a special game.
His best friend, Squeaky the Mouse, would call out, "Let's play the tucked-in game, Timothy!"
Timothy would giggle a slow turtle giggle. "Ready or not, here I hide!"
Then—WHOOSH!—Timothy would pull his head, his little legs, and his tiny tail into his shell. He would look just like a smooth, patterned stone.
Squeaky would scamper around, sniffing. "Hmm, is he behind the dandelion? No. Is he under the clover leaf? No." Squeaky would pat the shell gently. "I wonder where my friend Timothy could be?"
From inside the shell, Timothy would wiggle, and the shell would wobble. Squeaky would squeal with delight, "I found you!"
And Timothy would pop his head out, smiling. It was the best game in the whole wide meadow.
