Tina the turtle was very, very happy. She had found the perfect lunch. It was a giant, green, crunchy lettuce leaf, bigger than her own shell!

"All for me!" she said with a happy wiggle.

She was about to take her first big bite when she saw a little green caterpillar. He was looking at the giant leaf with big, sad eyes. "That leaf looks so yummy," the caterpillar sighed. "But it's too big for me to eat all by myself."

Tina looked at the giant leaf. Then she looked at the tiny caterpillar. The leaf was very big. And her tummy was quite small.

"Would you like to share?" Tina asked.

The caterpillar’s face lit up! "Oh, yes please!"

So Tina nibbled on one side of the great leaf, and the caterpillar nibbled on the other. Crunch, munch, crunch. And Tina the turtle discovered that a good leaf tastes even better when you share it with a friend.
