Coloring page story

Tommy the turtle was trying to climb a small, mossy hill. He pushed with his back legs and reached with his front ones. "Almost... there!" he puffed.

But just as he reached the top, his foot slipped on a wet stone, and he tumbled down the other side. Wibble-wobble-thump!

He landed right on his back! His shell was on the grass and his little legs were wiggling in the air. "Oh, dear," he said to the sky. "I am topsy-turvy!"

A little ladybug crawled onto his tummy. "Don't worry, Tommy!" she chirped. A grasshopper hopped near. "We'll help you!" he buzzed.

The ladybug and the grasshopper went to one side of his shell. They pushed and pushed. Tommy wiggled and rocked. With one big HEAVE, he rolled over and landed on his feet. Plop!

"Thank you, my friends!" Tommy said happily. "It's much better to be right-side-up!"

Coloring page Age Appropriateness

The expressive, slightly silly scene is highly engaging for 3-5 year olds. The clear outlines and large, distinct shapes of the turtle and his friends are easy for small hands to navigate.
