Coloring page story
Barnaby was a grumpy bee. BZZZZ GRUMPH! He buzzed from flower to flower. "Too sunny here!" "Too shady there!" Nothing was right.
He saw a big, red rose. "Hmph. Probably doesn't even smell good," he grumbled.
The rose, named Ruby, heard him. Instead of getting mad, she gently swayed in the breeze, sending her sweetest, most wonderful smell right to Barnaby. It smelled like sunshine and strawberries.
"Oh," Barnaby said, surprised. He flew closer. "That... that is a very nice smell."
"Thank you," Ruby whispered. "Would you like some yummy nectar? There's plenty to share."
Unexpected Twist: Barnaby wasn't grumpy because he was mean. He was grumpy because he was lost and couldn't find his way home. The sweet smell of the rose helped him remember the way back to his hive.
