Coloring page story

Pip was a tiny ant with a big dream. He wanted to win the Rose Petal Race! The racetrack was a giant, curvy rose petal, slippery with morning dew.

"Ready... set... GO!" shouted a fuzzy bumblebee.

Pip ran with his little legs. Pitter-patter-pitter-patter! He zipped past a slow snail. "Bye-bye!" he chirped. But oh no! A giant dewdrop blocked his way. It was wibbly and wobbly. Pip was a little scared.

He took a deep breath, wiggled his antennae, and charged! SPLASH! He slid right through the dewdrop. Whoosh!

Unexpected Twist: Just before the finish line, he saw his friend, a little ladybug, had slipped and couldn't get up. Instead of running past, Pip stopped. He pushed with all his might until the ladybug was back on her feet. Together, they crossed the finish line holding hands (well, leg and leg!).

The fuzzy bumblebee declared, "Pip is the winner, because courage is about helping friends!"

Coloring page Age Appropriateness

The design uses large, rounded shapes and clear, bold outlines, which is ideal for the developing motor skills of 3-5-year-olds. The anthropomorphic characters are friendly and relatable. The concept of a race on one of the roses is simple to grasp, and the large spaces on the petal and characters prevent frustration.

Coloring Page Coloring Instructions

Hello, little artist! Look at our brave friends, Pip and the ladybug! You can make the big rose petal they raced on any color you like—maybe a bright red, a sunny yellow, or even a rainbow! Don't forget their friend, the fuzzy bumblebee. What color will you make his stripes? Remember to color the happy smiles on all their faces. There are no wrong colors here!

Coloring Page Printing Tips

For the best coloring experience, print on medium to heavy-weight paper (like cardstock) to prevent markers from bleeding through. Use your printer's 'Best' or 'High Quality' setting to ensure the black lines of the roses and characters are crisp and clear.

Recommended Tools

Large, chunky crayons are perfect for little hands to grip and color the large areas like the rose petal. Washable markers are also a great choice for vibrant colors. For safety, always supervise young children with art supplies.
