Coloring page story

Pip met a busy ant named Andy. Andy was trying to carry a big crumb, but it was too heavy. He would push and push, and the crumb would roll back. Sigh.

Pip felt sad for the little ant. He remembered how hard it was to peck his first seed. He walked over. "Peep?" he asked, which in chick-language means, "Can I help?"

Pip gently nudged the crumb with his beak. With Pip pushing from one side and Andy pulling from the other, the crumb started to move!

Plot Twist: They moved it all the way to the anthill. But the crumb was too big to fit in the tiny door! Pip had an idea. He gave the crumb a smart PECK! It broke into two smaller pieces. Both pieces fit perfectly inside. Andy the ant did a happy little thank-you dance.

Coloring page Age Appropriateness

The anthropomorphic ant with its clear, human-like expression of joy makes the story's emotion easy for 3-5 year olds to understand. The narrative of helping is a key social skill for this age, and the image provides a clear, positive example.

Coloring Page Coloring Instructions

Pip is such a good friend! Let's color our helpful chick yellow. His ant friend, Andy, is so happy! You can make him black, or brown, or even a silly color like blue. The yummy crumb they are sharing could be a toasty brown. Great job helping, friends!

Coloring Page Printing Tips

This page has a few smaller details, like the ant's legs. Printing on 'high' or 'best' quality will ensure these lines are sharp and easy to see. Standard A4 or letter-sized paper is perfectly suitable for this chick's act of kindness.

Recommended Tools

Fine-tipped markers or well-sharpened colored pencils would be good for coloring the ant. Broad-tipped markers or crayons are great for the larger areas like the chick and the ground.
