Coloring page story

Barry was a tiny blueberry. He lived on a big, fluffy pancake mountain. His big dream was to get to the very top! "I want to see the whole kitchen!" he squeaked. But the mountain was so high! Wobble, wobble.

"You're too small!" said a big, syrupy drip.

But Barry was brave. He took a deep breath. "I will try!" He started to climb. Wiggle, wiggle, push! He climbed past a pat of butter that looked like a slippery, yellow lake. Slip, slide! He almost fell! But he held on tight. He was scared, but he kept going. Push, push, push!

He was almost at the top when a giant fork appeared! WHOOSH! It was coming right for him!

✨ Unexpected Twist: The fork wasn't coming to hurt him! It gently scooped him up and VROOOM! placed him perfectly on the very, very top of the pancake mountain! He was the king of the kitchen!

Coloring page Age Appropriateness

The concept of a 'pancake mountain' is exciting and easy for a 3-5 year old to grasp. The large, simple shapes of the pancakes are perfect for coloring, while the single small blueberry provides a clear focal point. The scale difference between the fruit and the fork adds a sense of wonder.

Coloring Page Coloring Instructions

Wow, look at that tall pancake mountain! You can color each pancake a different shade of brown or make a rainbow stack! What color will you make the brave little blueberry at the top? He can be blue, purple, or any color you choose! The big fork can be shiny gray or a fun color, too. Have fun on this yummy adventure!

Coloring Page Printing Tips

Print this page in 'portrait' orientation to make the pancake mountain look as tall as possible. Using a slightly thicker paper will prevent markers from bleeding through if your little adventurer chooses to color their fruit with bold tools.

Recommended Tools

Fat-tipped markers are great for filling in the large pancake sections quickly. Crayons are excellent for adding a bit of texture to the pancakes. Let your child choose their favorite tool to bring Barry's adventure to life!
