Coloring page story

Once, in a big blue bowl, lived a round, red Apple named Rosie and a long, yellow Banana named Benny. Rosie loved to roll. Benny loved to lie still. "You're too wobbly," said Rosie. "You're too rolly," said Benny. They sat on opposite sides of the bowl, feeling a little bit sad.

One sunny morning, a sweet little Strawberry was placed in the bowl. "Hello!" she chirped. "Why don't you play?"

Rosie said, "Benny is too wobbly." Benny said, "Rosie is too rolly."

The wise little Strawberry giggled. "But that's what makes you special! Rosie, you can roll to that side of the bowl so fast! And Benny, you are like a comfy, yellow slide!"

Suddenly, Rosie rolled over to Benny. Woosh! Benny didn't move at all. Rosie nudged him gently. "Can I rest next to you?" she asked. Benny curved his body into a smile. "Yes," he said. "We can be friends." From then on, they were the best of friends, the rolly apple and the wonderful banana slide.

Coloring page Age Appropriateness

The Chibi style with large eyes and simple, rounded shapes is highly appealing to children aged 3-5. The large, distinct sections for each fruit character help develop fine motor control without being frustratingly small. The theme of friendship is easily understood at this age.

Coloring Page Coloring Instructions

Hello, artist! Look at these happy fruit friends. You can make Rosie the Apple any color you like – maybe bright red or shiny green! Benny the Banana would love to be a sunny yellow. And don't forget the little strawberry! What color will you make the big bowl they live in? Try to stay inside the thick black lines, but it's okay if you go out a little!

Coloring Page Printing Tips

For best results, print on sturdy paper like cardstock, which can handle crayons, markers, or even paint. Use your printer's 'Best' or 'High Quality' setting to ensure the black outlines are crisp and clear, making it easier for your child to color their fruit friends.

Recommended Tools

Chunky crayons or washable markers are perfect for this age group as they are easy to grip. Colored pencils can also be used for children developing a finer pincer grasp. Always supervise coloring time and ensure tools are non-toxic.
