Barnaby the bear had a brand-new honey pot. It was plump and brown with a cheerful yellow stripe. He hugged it close. "My honey," he mumbled. "All for me."

He sat under an oak tree and dipped in his paw for a big, gooey scoop. Just then, a little squirrel named Squeaky scampered down the trunk. "Oh, Barnaby," he chattered, "that looks so yummy!"

Barnaby hid his pot. "It's mine," he said.

But his tummy felt funny, and not from the honey. He saw Squeaky’s sad little face. With a sigh, he pushed the pot forward. "Would you... like a taste?"

Squeaky’s eyes lit up! He took a tiny, polite lick. Soon, Pip the mouse and Freddie the fox joined them. Barnaby found that sharing a little bit of honey made his heart feel as full and sweet as the pot itself.
