Coloring page story

Beginning: Frosty Lump was a snowman cookie who was… well, lumpy. The icing had dripped, making his smile crooked, and his candy-corn nose was stuck on sideways. The other, perfectly round cookies whispered. "He's a bit of a mess," said a snickerdoodle. Frosty Lump felt his buttery heart sink. He didn’t want to be judged on the cookie plate. He decided to run away and find a place where lumps didn't matter.

Middle: He rolled off the counter and out the doggy door into the cold backyard. The world was white and quiet. He felt even more alone. Then he saw it: a real snowman, built by the children, standing tall in the middle of the yard. But something was missing. The snowman had pebble eyes and a stick smile, but no nose. Suddenly, a squirrel scampered up and tried to pull off Frosty Lump's candy-corn nose! "Hey! That's mine!" Frosty Lump thought, holding on tight. The squirrel chattered angrily and ran away.

End: Frosty Lump looked at his crooked nose, and then at the big, friendly face of the snowman. He had an idea. He scrambled up the snowy base of the big snowman, a difficult climb for a lumpy cookie. He reached the face and, with a great push, wedged his candy-corn nose right into the middle of it. It was a perfect fit. Just then, the back door opened. A little girl named Maya saw him. "Oh, you poor thing! You gave your nose to Mr. Snowman!" She didn't call him lumpy or messy. She called him kind. She carefully carried him inside, sat him on the windowsill overlooking the yard, and placed a tiny marshmallow beside him. "You can keep your friend company," she said. Frosty Lump watched the snowman, who now had a perfect, if slightly crooked, nose. He wasn't a misfit; he was a hero. And he had found his perfect place.

Coloring page Age Appropriateness

The 'picture book style' is perfect for ages 6-8, as it tells a story visually. The separation of foreground (windowsill) and background (yard) is clear. The characters are simple, friendly shapes, inviting children to color without being overwhelmed by detail.

Coloring Page Coloring Instructions

Hello! Can you help make this picture cozy? Frosty Lump is inside, and his friend Mr. Snowman is outside. You can color the windowsill brown like wood. Outside, you can make the sky blue and leave the snowman white, or maybe add some light blue shadows! Don't forget to color the candy-corn nose on the big snowman. What color is a candy corn?

Coloring Page Printing Tips

To make this feel like a real picture book page, try printing on a matte photo paper or a smooth, heavy-weight paper. This will give a nice feel to the finished artwork. Standard printer settings will work just fine for the clean line art.

Recommended Tools

This page is perfect for crayons, which can give a soft, storybook texture. Markers would be great for making the snowman's nose and other details stand out. This is a great opportunity to practice coloring in one direction to fill the large spaces like the sky.
