Coloring page story
Jasper was a rainbow trout who lived in a clear, fast-flowing river. More than anything, Jasper loved to collect beautiful things. His little nook under a riverbank was filled with smooth, colourful stones: deep green ones, speckled grey ones, and even a rosy pink one. They were his treasure.
One day, a tiny minnow named Pip swam by, crying soft, bubbly tears. "What's wrong, little one?" Jasper asked.
"I lost my lucky pebble," Pip sniffled. "It was the shiniest thing I'd ever seen, and now it's gone forever."
Jasper looked at his own magnificent collection. He thought about how much he loved each stone. Then he looked at Pip’s sad little face. He swam to the back of his nook and gently pushed out his most prized possession: a stone that was as white as milk and sparkled in the sunlight.
"Here," Jasper said kindly. "You can have this one."
Pip’s eyes went wide. "Oh, thank you!" he chirped, his sadness instantly gone. Seeing the little minnow’s happiness gave Jasper a warmer, better feeling than any stone ever had.
