In a town made of round things, there lived a little block named Squiggy. Squiggy was a square. The round balls rolled. The round wheels spun. Can you roll your hands like a wheel? Squiggy just sat there. Thump.

"I don't fit in," he sighed, feeling his sharp corners. "I'm just a lumpy imposter."

A big rain came and washed away the little round bridge over the bubbly brook. The round balls couldn't cross. They just rolled into the water.

Squiggy looked at the gap. He looked at his flat, sturdy sides. He had an idea. He slid to the edge of the brook. Thump. Then another square block joined him. Thump.

Twist: Together, the square blocks made a perfect, strong, flat bridge! The round balls could roll right over them safely.

"Hooray for Squiggy and the squares!" they all cheered. Squiggy felt proud of his flat sides and sharp corners. He wasn't lumpy; he was steady and strong.
