Coloring page story

It was bedtime. Daniel was snuggled in his bed. The nightlight was on, casting a soft glow. But then, he saw it. A big, wiggly shadow on his wall! It had two pointy ears and long, funny arms. It looked like a monster!

Daniel hid under his covers. His heart was beating fast. Thump-thump-thump. He felt scared. “Daaaaad!” he called.

Dad Tiger came in. “What is it, my little tiger?”

“A shadow monster!” Daniel whispered.

Dad Tiger didn’t turn on the big light. He sat on the bed and sang, “When you see something scary, look again and find out what it is.”

Interactive Element: Let’s make shadow puppets! Hold up your hand. Can you make a bunny? Or a bird?

Dad Tiger reached out and… Twist: …he picked up the “monster.” It was just Daniel’s jacket hanging on his chair! The pointy ears were the collar, and the funny arms were the sleeves. It wasn’t a monster at all. Daniel giggled. He wasn’t scared anymore. He gave the jacket a pat and snuggled down to sleep.

Coloring page Age Appropriateness

The 'Simple Line Art Cartoon' style is ideal for the 3-5 age group as it presents the situation with absolute clarity and no scary elements. The focus is on the solution (the jacket) and the positive emotions of Dad's reassurance and Daniel's relief. The large shapes of the bed blanket, the characters, and the jacket are easy for young children to color in.
