Coloring page story
The playground was covered in leaves! Daniel, O the Owl, and Prince Wednesday wanted to play on the slide, but the leaves were in the way.
“There are too many leaves!” said Prince Wednesday. “This will take forever to clean up, royally forever!”
Daniel felt discouraged. It was a big job for one little tiger.
Just then, Teacher Harriet arrived with rakes. “It is a big job,” she said with a smile. “But many friends make a job small.” She started to sing: “When a job is big and tough to do, work together! It’s better with two… or three… or you!”
Plot Twist: They didn’t just rake the leaves into a boring pile. O the Owl suggested they rake all the leaves into one GIANT pile right at the bottom of the slide. They worked together, raking and giggling. Soon, the playground was clean, and they had a huge, soft, crunchy leaf pile.
One by one, they slid down the slide and—WHOOSH, CRUNCH!—landed in the pile. Working together hadn't just cleaned the playground; it had made a whole new game. It was a grr-ific day
Coloring page Age Appropriateness
The 'Playful Game Cartoon' style is highly engaging for 3-5 year olds, capturing the energy and fun of playing together. The composition tells a clear story of cause and effect (raking leads to a fun pile). While there are multiple characters, they are distinct and the shapes remain simple, making it a manageable and rewarding coloring challenge for a preschooler.

Coloring Page Printing Tips
Print this Daniel Tiger scene in landscape mode to best capture the action. This page has many small leaf shapes within the large pile, which is great practice for staying in the lines. Encourage your child to color each leaf, but also reassure them that coloring over the whole pile is fun too! This is a great activity for a crisp autumn day.
Recommended Tools
A variety of colored pencils or thin crayons would be perfect for coloring the individual leaves in different fall shades. A broad-tip marker could be used for the large slide. This page offers a great opportunity to use many different colors and tools, celebrating the fun of teamwork.
