Coloring page story
Daniel and Katerina Kittycat were dancing in the living room. Katerina loved to twirl. “Meow, meow, watch me twirl!” she said, spinning in her pretty dress. She twirled and twirled… and then, wobble, wobble, THUMP! She tumbled right into Daniel’s block tower. It crashed all over!
Daniel felt his face get hot and his paws make little fists. “Grrrr! Katerina! You knocked down my tower!” he said in a loud voice.
Katerina’s ears went back. “I didn’t mean to, meow, meow.” She looked like she might cry.
Dad Tiger came in. “Daniel, it looks like you feel mad. And Katerina, you look sad.” He sang, “It’s okay to feel mad, it’s true. But we can say ‘I’m sorry,’ too.”
Plot Twist: Daniel took a deep breath. He was still mad, but he saw Katerina was sad. Instead of just getting an apology, he said, “Will you help me build it again?”
Katerina’s face lit up. “Meow, meow, yes!” Together, they built a new tower, even bigger than before. And this time, they danced around it.
Coloring page Age Appropriateness
The 'Expressive Cartoon' style is perfect for ages 3-5, as it clearly communicates emotions (happiness, concentration) that young children can easily recognize and discuss. The use of large, geometric blocks for the tower creates simple, satisfying shapes to color. The focus on the two main characters reinforces the story's theme of cooperative play.

Coloring Page Printing Tips
To make this a repeatable activity, print on cardstock and laminate it. Children can then color the page with dry-erase markers, wipe it clean, and recreate the Daniel Tiger story again and again. Use standard print quality for the best black lines.
