Coloring page story
Every year, the animals of Sunny Meadow Forest decorated one Great Oak Tree together. The final touch was the big, glowing Star of Friendship. Barnaby Bear was lifting it up, up, up when a mischievous blue jay swooped by and shouted, "Hello!" Barnaby jumped in surprise, and the star tumbled down... thump, crackle, poke... right into the middle of the thickest, prickliest holly hedge. Silence. "Oh, dear," rumbled Barnaby. Pip Mouse tried to squeeze through, but the prickles were too sharp. "Ouch! Ouchy!" Squeaky Squirrel tried to climb over, but the leaves were too slippery. Hoot the Owl tried to lift it from above, but his wings couldn't fit between the branches. The star was truly stuck. "We'll never get it," sighed Pip. But Hoot blinked his wise eyes. "Not alone," he said. "But together..." He gathered them in a huddle. "Barnaby, you are strong. Pip, you are small. Squeaky, you are fast. I can see from above. Let's make a plan." So Barnaby used his strong paws to gently push apart two big branches, just for a moment. GRRRR! Hoot, watching from above, guided Pip. "A little to the left, Pip!" Pip, being so small, was able to wriggle through the opening Barnaby made, grab the string on the star, and toss it to Squeaky, who was waiting. ZIP! Squeaky scrambled up the other side and pulled. Together, they eased the star out. It was a little scratched, but it was safe. When they placed it on the tree, it glowed brighter than ever, because it wasn't just a star anymore. It was a teamwork star.

Coloring Page Coloring Instructions
Wow, look at all the friends working together! Let's color them all in. You can make the big bear brown, the little mouse gray, the quick squirrel orange, and the wise owl a hoot-hoot-hooty brown! The holly bush needs lots of green for its leaves and red for its berries. And the most important part, the Teamwork Star, can be the brightest, most beautiful yellow you have!
Coloring Page Printing Tips
Given the number of characters, print this on a full page to give your child plenty of room. A 'high quality' print setting will ensure all the different outlines are sharp and clear, making it easier to color inside the lines.
Recommended Tools
A set of colored pencils is ideal for this page, as it allows for coloring the smaller characters like the mouse and squirrel with more precision. Crayons are still great for the larger areas like the bear and the hedge.
