Coloring page story

The penguins were having a Christmas dinner party on the ice. The most important part was the wibbly-wobbly ice-pudding. It was too big for one penguin to carry.

So, they had a Pudding Parade! Pingu walked in front to clear the way. Polly and Percy carried the pudding on a flat piece of ice, chanting, "Wibble-wobble, don't you topple!" Penny walked behind, ready to catch any drips with her beak.

They marched all the way to the dinner table. It was a team effort! And when they all took a bite, they agreed the pudding tasted best because they had all worked together to get it there.

Coloring page Age Appropriateness

The repetitive, simple shapes of the penguins are excellent for young children to practice coloring. The clear, linear action of the parade is easy for a 3-5 year old to follow and understand. The cute, non-threatening animal characters are highly appealing.

Coloring Page Coloring Instructions

Here come the penguins! It's a pudding parade! You can color each penguin a little differently. Maybe one can have a colorful winter hat? What flavor is the big pudding? You could make it a strawberry pink pudding or a chocolate brown pudding. Let's make this parade as colorful as can be!

Coloring Page Printing Tips

This page looks great printed in landscape orientation to give the parade lots of room. Standard paper works well. Print a copy for each child and see how they each decide to decorate the pudding!

Recommended Tools

Black crayons or markers are great for the penguins' coats, but encourage creativity—purple or blue penguins are fun too! Dot markers could be used to make festive sprinkles on the pudding.
