Coloring page story

"This," said Mama Rabbit, holding up a flat gingerbread man ornament with faded icing and one button eye, "was made by your Great-Grandma Rosie." "He looks old," bounced Leo. "He is," said Mama. "He holds all our family's Christmas stories." She let Lily and Leo hang it together. But Leo, being bouncy, gave the branch a little boing! The gingerbread man flew off and slid under the big armchair. "Leo!" whispered Lily. They both peered into the darkness. "I can't see him!" Leo's ears drooped. "I'm sorry." "We have to get him back," said Lily. They tried a stick, but it was too short. They tried blowing, but he wouldn't move. They felt worried. What if he was lost forever? Then Lily had an idea. "Let's think. What did Great-Grandma Rosie like?" "Carrots!" shouted Leo. "And stories!" added Lily. "Mama said he holds our stories. Let's tell him a story to coax him out!" So they lay on their tummies. "Hello, Gingerbread Grandma," Lily whispered. "Do you remember the time Grandpa Rabbit won the carrot-growing contest?" "And the time Mama Rabbit made a pie so big we ate it for a week?" added Leo, giggling. They kept telling happy family stories into the darkness. And then, they saw a little movement. Leo reached under one more time, and his paw found it! They pulled out the gingerbread man. He didn't look old anymore. He looked like he was smiling, happy to have heard his stories again.
