Deep under the dirt, a tiny seed was fast asleep. It was dark and cozy. One day, the seed felt something. A little pat. Tap, tap, tap. It was the rain. Then it felt something else. A little warmth. It was the sun, warming the ground like a blanket.

The little seed stretched. "I think it's time to wake up," it yawned.

Twist: It didn't grow up right away. First, it sent a tiny root down to say hello to the wiggling worms. Then, it sent a little green sprout up to say hello to the sun. It grew both ways at once!
