Coloring page story
In a garden full of big, bright flowers, there was one little hydrangea bud named Harry. Harry was small and green and very shy. He kept his petals tucked in tight. “I’m too small,” he whispered. “I don’t want to open up.”
The big, warm sun shone down. “Open up, little Harry!” it called. But Harry stayed shut.
The gentle rain came down. “Pitter-patter, open up, Harry!” it tapped. But Harry stayed shut.
Unexpected Twist: One day, a little girl sat by the bush and whispered, “I feel shy today, too.” Hearing that, Harry felt a little bit braver. If she could be brave enough to come outside, maybe he could be, too.
Slowly, slowly, Harry unfurled his petals. He wasn't small anymore! He was a huge, beautiful, purple flower! He felt so proud.
Coloring page Age Appropriateness
The clear and exaggerated facial expressions are easy for children aged 3-5 to read and understand, helping them connect with the emotions of 'shy' and 'proud'. The story of a flower blooming is a gentle, positive metaphor for growth that is easy for them to grasp. The large, open shapes of the proud Hydrangea flower make coloring satisfying.
