Coloring page story

Once, there was a little white lily named Lily. She woke up and felt very, very thirsty. The sun was warm and bright. "Oh, I'm so thirsty," she whispered. Her petals started to droop, just a little. Flitter, flitter, flutter. A little blue dragonfly landed on her leaf. "What's wrong, Lily?" he buzzed. "I'm so thirsty, and my roots can't find any water."

The dragonfly looked down. He saw the lily's long, green stem went all the way down into the cool, dark mud. (Unexpected Twist) He zipped down and whispered to the mud, "Wake up! Lily is thirsty!" The mud wiggled and moved a little bit, pushing some water up the stem. Slurp, slurp, slurp! Lily drank the cool water all the way up her stem and into her petals. She stood up tall and bright again. "Thank you, mud! Thank you, dragonfly!" she cheered.

Coloring page Age Appropriateness

The design is perfect for 3-5 year olds. The use of an anthropomorphic lily with a clear expression helps children connect emotionally with the story. The shapes are large, rounded, and simple, which suits the developing motor skills of this age group. There are no tiny, complex details.
