Coloring page story

Once, there was a garden where all the flowers were best friends. There was a red Poppy, an orange Marigold, a yellow Buttercup, a green Hellebore (a very special flower!), a blue Iris, and a violet Pansy.

One day after a soft rain, the sun came out. A beautiful rainbow appeared in the sky.

The flowers all looked up. Then they looked at each other. The red Poppy looked at the orange Marigold, who looked at the yellow Buttercup, and so on. They realized that all together, they made their very own rainbow, right there on the ground. And they knew that each of their colors was important to make the garden so beautiful.

Coloring page Age Appropriateness

The rainbow theme is a perennial favorite for the 3-5 age group and an excellent tool for teaching colors. The repetitive nature of coloring the rainbow bands and the distinct, simple shapes of the flowers make this a highly rewarding and skill-appropriate activity.
