Why not this beautiful, colorful thing? An old owl, perched nearby, opened one eye. "It is a thing for the eyes, little one, not the ears," she hooted gently. "Some beauty is loud, like a waterfall. Some is for touching, like soft moss. And some, like the rainbow, is for seeing." Echo tilted his head, thinking. He stopped clicking and just looked. He saw how the Red melted into Orange, and Green faded into Blue. It didn't need a sound to be amazing. It was a silent song for the eyes. Echo learned that there are many different ways to experience the wonders of the world, and some of the best ones are quiet.
