One day, after a sun-shower, a rainbow touched down right at the top of Sunny Hill. But this wasn't just any rainbow; it was a smooth, shimmering slide! All the little animals cheered. Pip the rabbit went first. WHOOSH! He slid down with his ears flopped back. Then came the badger twins. WHIZZZ! They giggled all the way. Tilly watched from the bottom, her heart thumping a little faster. It looked fun, but also… very, very fast. "Your turn, Tilly!" squeaked a little field mouse. Tilly took one slow step forward, then another. She looked up at the bright, steep colors. Red, Orange, Yellow… it seemed to go all the way to the sky. What if she fell off? What if she got dizzy? What if her shell spun around? She pulled her head and legs into her shell. Tuck. "I don't think so," her muffled voice said from inside. "It's too… slidy." A gentle woodpecker named Woody tapped on her shell. Tap, tap, tap. "It's okay to be scared, Tilly," he chirped. "But I'll tell you a secret. The slide feels like you're being hugged by soft light all the way down. And I'll be waiting at the bottom for you." Tilly peeked her head out. Being hugged by light sounded nice. She took a deep breath, crept to the edge, and pushed off. It wasn't scary! It was a gentle, colorful SWOOOOOSH! She felt the warmth of Red, the cheer of Yellow, the calm of Blue. She landed softly on a patch of moss right next to Woody, a huge smile on her face. Tilly learned that trying something new, even if it's scary, can lead to the most wonderful feelings.
