A beautiful rainbow appeared after a morning drizzle. Pip stared at it, his whiskers twitching. "Oh, I wish Squeak could see this!" he thought sadly. Squeak loved rainbows. Pip got an idea, a big, bold, wonderful idea. He would catch the rainbow and bring it to his friend. First, he tried to catch it in a big dandelion puff, but the colors slipped right through. Poof! As he sat, he noticed a patch of red poppies, some bright orange fungi on a log, and a field of yellow buttercups. An idea sparked. He couldn't catch the real rainbow, but maybe… maybe he could build one! He gathered red berries, orange petals, yellow dandelions, green moss, blue forget-me-nots, and purple lavender. He carefully arranged them in an arch on a large, flat leaf. He scurried to Squeak's bedside. "I brought you a rainbow," he whispered. Squeak's sleepy eyes opened, and a huge smile spread across his face. It was the most beautiful rainbow he had ever seen. Pip learned that the best gifts don't have to be big or magical; they just have to come from the heart.
