Coloring page story
Beginning:
Timmy was a tiny blue car, the color of a summer sky. He was brand new, and his headlights blinked with excitement about everything. One morning, he rolled out of his cozy garage and saw his friends, Flash the Red Racer and Penelope the Pink Convertible, waiting by the park. "Let's play!" beeped Timmy, his little engine humming a happy tune.
Middle:
On the path to the playground, there was a puddle. It wasn't a little puddle. It was a big, wide, brown, muddy puddle. SPLASH! went Flash, zipping right through it. SWOOSH! went Penelope, making sparkly water fly. But Timmy stopped. His wheels felt wobbly. The puddle looked like a big, brown monster. "I... I can't," he whispered. His happy hum turned into a nervous little purr. "It's too big!"
Flash zoomed back. "It's just water, Timmy!" Penelope added, "It's fun! It goes splishy-splashy!" But Timmy just stared, his bright blue paint seeming a little less bright. He felt small and scared. What if he got stuck?
Ending:
Penelope saw Timmy’s droopy headlights. She rolled up beside him gently. "How about we go through it together?" she asked softly. "I'll go slow." Timmy looked at Penelope’s kind face. He took a tiny, brave puff from his exhaust pipe. "Okay," he peeped. Side by side, they rolled toward the puddle. "Ready?" asked Penelope. "One... two... three!" They went in together. Splish... went Penelope's wheel. ...splosh... went Timmy's. It wasn't a monster roar; it was a gentle, tickly sound. Timmy giggled! He wiggled his tires and made a little splash of his own. He had done it! He wasn't scared anymore. And he learned that sometimes, being brave is easier when a friend is right beside you.
Coloring page Age Appropriateness
The design is ideal for ages 3-5. The use of round, soft shapes for the cars makes them appear friendly and non-threatening. The large, simple areas to color are perfect for developing fine motor skills, and the clear emotional expressions on the cars help children understand the story's themes of fear and friendship.

Coloring Page Printing Tips
For the best coloring experience, print this page on medium-weight cardstock or thick paper. This will prevent markers from bleeding through and stand up to enthusiastic crayon coloring. Use your printer's 'Best' or 'High Quality' setting to ensure the black lines of the cars are crisp and clear.
Recommended Tools
Large, chunky crayons are perfect for this age group as they are easy to grip. Washable markers are also a great choice for vibrant colors. Using different tools for the cars and the water can create a fun, mixed-media effect. Always supervise to ensure caps are put back on markers!
