She checked behind the big slide—CLANG! As she zipped around a corner a little too fast, she hit a bump. BUMP-THUNK! She didn't think anything of it. After she found everyone, she was rolling home when she looked down at her wheel. Her sparkly hubcap... was gone! "My Sparkle!" she cried. A big, oily tear rolled down her fender.

Ending: Her friends gathered around. "Don't worry, we'll help you!" said Timmy the Tiny Blue Car. They all retraced Penelope's route. "Where were you playing?" asked Flash. "Did you hear any funny noises?" asked Gus. Penelope remembered the BUMP-THUNK! sound. They all raced back to the corner with the bump. They looked in the grass. They looked under the leaves. And there, shining in the afternoon sun, was her hubcap! It was a little muddy but still perfectly sparkly. Everyone cheered! Penelope was so happy she honked her horn—HONK-HONK!—and gave everyone a ride. She learned that losing something feels sad, but having good friends to help you look for it is the best feeling in the world.
