Coloring page story
Beginning:
Lily was a long, lovely, limousine, as white and sparkly as a starry night. She was built for fancy parties and big events, but Lily was very shy. Inside her garage, she loved to polish her chrome until it gleamed. But outside? The thought of all those cars looking at her made her tires tremble. Today was the annual "Car Town Parade," and she was supposed to be in it. "I can't," she whispered to her reflection. "I'm too... shiny."
Middle:
All the other cars were so excited. Horns were tooting happy songs. Streamers were fluttering. Gus the Green Tow Truck had a balloon tied to his hook. Lily hid behind the tire shop, her long body trying to scrunch up small. She saw other cars lining up. They looked so confident. "What if I trip over my own wheels?" she worried. "What if my horn squeaks instead of honks?" Her engine felt like it was full of fizzy bubbles of fear.
Ending:
Just then, a tiny, rusty scooter named Squeaky rolled up. He wasn't shiny at all. "Wow," Squeaky buzzed. "You look like a superstar!" Lily blushed. "Oh, no... I'm too shy." Squeaky looked puzzled. "But your shininess makes me feel happy! When you sparkle, it's like a party is starting!" Lily had never thought of it that way. Her sparkle wasn't just for her; it could make others happy. She took a deep breath. She thought of Squeaky's happy buzz. Slowly, she rolled out from behind the shop. A few cars honked in admiration. Lily didn't hide. She blinked her big headlights, took her place in the parade, and when she drove past Squeaky, she gave a little sparkle right at him. She learned that sharing your own special light doesn't just make you brave; it can brighten someone else's day, too.
Coloring page Age Appropriateness
Perfect for the 3-5 age range. The long, continuous shape of the limousine is great for practicing long coloring strokes. The extra 'sparkle' shapes (stars) add a touch of magic and are easy, satisfying shapes for a young child to fill with color. The theme of a parade is exciting and relatable.

Coloring Page Printing Tips
For this page, consider printing on paper with a slight shimmer or using glitter glue after coloring to enhance the 'sparkle' theme. A standard 8.5x11 inch page on regular printer paper will also work perfectly. Ensure your printer is set to black and white to get the best line art.
Recommended Tools
Glitter crayons would be a perfect match for this coloring page! Broad-tip markers are also great for filling in the large area of the limo's body. Providing small stickers (like stars) to add to the page after coloring can also be a fun, dexterity-building activity.
