Coloring page story
Just when things were looking up, Santa let out a worried gasp. “The List! A page is missing!”
He held up his giant, ancient book, The Naughty and Nice List. A single page, the one with all the children whose names started with ‘L’, was gone!
“It must have blown away in all the glittery sneezes!” cried an elf.
They searched everywhere. They looked under tables and behind shelves. Santa, being so big, couldn’t look in all the tiny nooks and crannies. The elves were too woozy to search properly. Panic started to bubble. Without that page, how would children like Leo, Lucy, and… Lily… get their presents?
Lily remembered she was small. She could fit in places no one else could. “I’ll look!” she declared.
She crawled under the main workshop bench, a place full of stray gears and dust bunnies. It was dark and a little spooky. She pushed aside a pile of shimmery blue tissues, left from a big sneeze. And there it was! Tucked underneath, safe and sound, was the missing page.
“I found it!” she shouted, crawling out and holding it up triumphantly.
Santa let out a huge sigh of relief. “Lily, my little apprentice! You saved the ‘L’s! Your sharp eyes and brave heart have saved the day again.” Lily beamed, feeling as proud as a reindeer with a shiny new harness.
Coloring page Age Appropriateness
The narrative focus of the picture book style helps children aged 3-5 understand the story's climax. The single, clear action (Lily finding the page) is easy to comprehend. The large, simple shapes of Lily and the workbench are well-suited for their developing coloring abilities.
