Coloring page story
The workshop was almost ready. The sleigh was packed, the toys were wrapped, the reindeer were energized, and the bells were jingling. But Lily noticed something. The sickest elves, who couldn't help at all, were huddled in a corner, looking very sad. They were missing the best part of Christmas: being part of the team.
“They feel left out,” Lily whispered to Santa. Her heart felt a little heavy for them.
Santa nodded, his kind eyes looking at his little workers. “A job is only half-done if your friends are unhappy.”
Lily thought about what her teacher did when a friend was sick at school. “We should make them Get Well Soon cards!” she suggested.
Using the leftover painted paper and some sparkly glitter (the good kind!), Lily and Santa sat down and made cards. Lily drew a picture of a smiling elf in a warm bed. Santa wrote in big, loopy letters: “Get Well Soon! Christmas Is Merrier With You!”
They went to the sad little elves and gave them the cards, along with a warm mug of cocoa. The elves’ faces lit up. A sneeze of happy, pink glitter puffed from one of them. They weren't just workers; they were part of the North Pole family, and they hadn't been forgotten.
Lily learned the most important lesson of all that day. Saving Christmas wasn't just about toys and sleighs. It was about taking care of each other.
