Coloring page story
Planet Whisper was known for its cute little creatures: the Moon-Mites. They were fluffy, had big eyes, and squeaked like a tiny toy. The dino-nauts were so excited to meet them.
But when they landed, all the Moon-Mites ran and hid behind the silver-leafed trees. Scurry, scurry, hide!
“Come out and play!” boomed Rex, taking a big step forward. The Moon-Mites only hid more.
“I’ll show them how fast I am!” zipped Velo, running towards the trees. A few fluffy tails disappeared even faster.
Tripsy watched, her heart feeling for the little creatures. They were scared, just like she sometimes was when things were too loud or too fast.
While the others tried to coax the Mites out, Tripsy sat down quietly on the soft, mossy ground. She didn’t say anything. She just started to build a little tower out of smooth, grey pebbles she found. Click, stack, click.
A little Moon-Mite peeked out from behind a tree. It saw the quiet Triceratops who wasn’t shouting or running. It crept a little closer. Tripsy didn’t look up. She just gently pushed a pretty, shiny pebble towards it.
The Moon-Mite scurried forward, snatched the pebble with a happy squeak!, and scurried back. Then two Mites peeked out. Then three. Soon, a whole circle of fluffy Moon-Mites was sitting around Tripsy, quietly watching her build. Tripsy had shown them that she was a gentle friend, and sometimes the quietest way is the best way to say hello.
