Coloring page story

This story introduces a guest friend, Terry the Pterodactyl.

The dino-nauts landed on a quiet, rocky moon to have a picnic. Their friend Terry the Pterodactyl swooped down to join them.

“Look!” squawked Terry, pointing his wing at a big cave shimmering with crystals. “A sparkle-cave!” He flew inside before anyone could say, “Wait!”

“Hello!” Terry’s voice called from the cave. “Hello… hello… hello…” the cave answered back. “I’m a Pterodactyl!” “Dactyl… dactyl… dactyl…”

Terry giggled. He flew deeper, chasing the sounds. He turned a corner, then another. Soon, the entrance was gone. He stopped. It was very quiet. He couldn't see his friends.

“Hello?” he called. His voice sounded small. “Hello…” the echo whispered back, but it sounded a little spooky now. He felt a flutter of fear in his chest. He was lost.

He remembered what Rex always said: "If you're lost, stay in one place and call for help."

Taking a deep breath, he let out his loudest Pterodactyl call. “SKREEEEEEE! Friends, I’m lost!”

Outside, the dino-nauts heard the call. “That’s Terry!” said Tripsy.

Following the sound, they found the cave. Rex called in, “Terry, keep calling so we can find you!”

Following his SKREEEEs and Hellos, they found their friend huddled by a giant purple crystal. Terry was so relieved he flew right into Bron’s arms. He had been scared, but he was brave enough to ask for help, and his friends came to the rescue.
