Coloring page story

After a week of adventures, the dino-nauts were sleepy. Rex’s roars were more like little squeaks. Velo’s zipping had turned into slow plodding. Bron’s neck was droopy, and Tripsy’s eyes kept closing.

“Time to go home,” Rex yawned.

He set the Star-Hopper’s course for their cozy home-base on the green and blue planet. The ship hummed a soft, sleepy lullaby. Hummmm-hushhhhh.

The journey was long. To pass the time, they decided to find the coziest spots for a pre-nap.

Bron curled his long neck around a big, soft chair, making a perfect dinosaur nest. He was asleep in moments, letting out a soft rumble-snore.

Velo, usually so full of energy, found the sunniest spot on the floor where a starbeam shone through the window. He curled up in the warm patch of light, his tail twitching in his dreams.

Tripsy tucked herself under the control panel, where all the little lights blinked in gentle patterns of red, green, and blue. It was like having her own private light show. Blink… boop… sleep.

Rex, the captain, stayed at the controls. He watched his friends sleeping peacefully. He felt a warm, happy feeling in his chest. He had kept his crew safe. He put the Star-Hopper on auto-pilot, found the biggest, fluffiest blanket, and curled up in his captain’s chair.

As the Star-Hopper sailed towards home, it was filled with the quiet sounds of sleeping dinosaurs, all dreaming of their next big adventure in the vast, wondrous, and friendly expanse of space.
