Coloring page story
The Star-Hopper landed with a soft thump on Planet Gloop. Everything was covered in a warm, jiggly, strawberry-scented goo. It was like landing in a giant pudding!
BOING! BOING! Velo bounced on his feet. Rex made big, squelchy footprints. SQUELCH, SQUORCH!
Bron the Brachiosaurus took a careful step out. But his feet were so big and heavy. With a loud SCHLOOOORP, he sank right up to his tummy in the pink goo. He was stuck!
He tried to pull his leg out. Sluuuurp. It wouldn’t budge. He tried the other one. Schloooop. Stuck fast. His long neck drooped. He felt clumsy and embarrassed. “Oh, dear,” he rumbled sadly.
“Don’t worry, Bron!” shouted Rex. “We’ll get you out!”
Rex tried to pull, but his arms were too short. Velo tried to run around him really fast to loosen the goo, but he just got dizzy. Tripsy looked at Bron’s long, strong neck. She had an idea!
“Bron,” she said, “your neck is the longest and strongest! Can you reach that big, sturdy space-rock over there?”
Bron stretched his neck… further… further… until CLONK, he could rest his chin on the rock.
“Now, everyone push Bron’s tail while he pulls with his head!” Tripsy directed.
They all got behind him. “One… two… THREE… PUSH!” With a mighty POP, Bron came free from the goo! He wiggled his toes, happy to be free. He wasn't clumsy; his long neck had saved the day! He gave everyone the gooiest, stickiest, best space-hug ever.
Coloring page Age Appropriateness
The clear, cause-and-effect action (pushing to get someone unstuck) is very understandable for 3-5 year olds. The expressive faces clearly communicate emotions like 'effort' and 'determination'. The large, continuous shape of Bron's body and the group of friends provide satisfyingly big areas to color.

You can make the gooey planet any color you want – maybe strawberry pink, lime green, or blueberry blue! Bron is trying so hard, what color should he be? Don't forget the big, strong rock he's pulling on!
Recommended Tools
Fat-tipped markers are perfect for the 'goo' and for Bron's large body, allowing for quick, satisfying coloring. For the smaller figures of Rex, Tripsy, and Velo, colored pencils offer a bit more control to stay within the lines, helping to build fine motor precision.
