Beginning: The sky was blue and the picnic basket was full. It was a perfect day for a picnic! But as the Dino Family walked towards the valley, a little grey cloud followed them. Then another. And another. Soon, the whole sky was a soft, grey blanket.

Middle: Plink. Plonk. PLIP! A drop of rain landed on Leo's nose. Then another on Trixie's frill. Soon, a gentle rain was falling all around them. "Oh, no!" cried Trixie. "Our picnic is ruined!" Leo looked sadly at the wet ground. How could they have a picnic now? Papa Rex tried to cover them with a giant leaf, but the rain dripped right through.

Ending: "Ruined? Nonsense!" said Mama Stego with a twinkle in her eye. "It's just a different kind of picnic." She led them to a nearby cave. It was dry and cozy inside, and the sound of the rain outside was like music. Pitter-patter, pitter-patter. They laid out their blanket on the smooth cave floor. The echo made Papa Rex’s chomping sound extra loud (CRUNCH, CRUNCH, ECHO-CRUNCH!), which made everyone laugh. They decided that cave picnics were extra special and hoped for another rainy day soon.
