Gus the Ankylosaurus was in charge of painting everyone’s special designs. Rexy wanted big, bold zig-zags. Perry wanted tiny, gentle swirls. Gus was painting carefully when a giant, juicy mango fell from a tree right into his paint pot! SPLAT! Sticky mango juice went everywhere, mixing all the sparkly mud colors together into one big, brown-ish, glittery goo. "Oh no!" Gus gasped. All his careful designs were ruined! He tried to fix it, but when Rexy put on his costume, he had gentle swirls. And when shy Perry put on his, he had big, bold zig-zags! Everyone looked silly. "This is a disaster!" Rexy grumbled, looking at the tiny swirls on his giant chest. Perry looked at the bold zig-zags on his crest and suddenly felt a little bit... brave! He stood up tall. Rexy looked at his own swirly pattern and wiggled his hips. "Hmm, I actually look quite... fancy!" he chuckled. They all started laughing. It wasn't what they had planned, but it was funny! That night, they performed in their mixed-up costumes, and the audience loved how unique and silly they all looked. Gus learned that sometimes, a messy mistake can turn into the best kind of fun.
