Coloring page story
Shimmer, Glimmer, Twirl, Whirl, Frost, and Glaze were a team. They were born in the same corner of the cloud and always stuck together. As they prepared for their first Christmas journey, they promised to land together, too. "Brigade, ready?" called Shimmer. "Ready!" they all cheered.
They drifted down in perfect formation, a swirling, six-snowflake star. But as they got closer, they saw a little boy sitting on his front step, looking very sad. A single, lonely carrot sat beside him. "There's not enough snow," he sighed to his dog. "I can't build a snowman for Christmas morning." The six snowflakes looked at each other. Their plan to land together suddenly seemed less important. "New mission, Brigade!" Frost declared. "We need reinforcements!"
Twirl and Whirl spun up to catch the wind, carrying a message back to their cloud: "More snow needed below! It's a Christmas emergency!" Soon, hundreds, then thousands, of their snowflake friends came pouring down, creating a thick, white, wonderful blanket. The six members of the Brigade landed right on top of the pile in front of the little boy. His face lit up! He spent the rest of the evening building the most magnificent snowman, with a carrot nose and a big, snowy smile. The Snowflake Brigade knew that the best thing they could ever do together was help someone else have a happy Christmas.
