Coloring page story

Pip the Clown woke up and patted his big, red nose. He gave it a squeeze. But instead of a loud HONK!, there was only… silence. "Oh no!" he whispered. "My honk is gone!"

He looked under his bed. He looked in the cookie jar. No honk. Lulu Loops, his friend, saw his sad face. "What's wrong, Pip?"

"I've lost my honk!" he cried.

Lulu smiled. "Maybe it's not lost. Maybe it's playing hide-and-seek!" They decided to make new sounds to call the honk out. Pip tapped a spoon on a teapot. Ting-ting-ting! Lulu shook a box of macaroni. Shaka-shaka-shaka! (Action: Can you make a Ting-Ting or a Shaka-Shaka sound?)

They made such a silly concert that Pip started to giggle. He giggled so hard his tummy jiggled. He laughed a big, deep laugh, and suddenly… HONK!

The Twist: The honk wasn't in his nose! It was a giggle hiding in his belly all along! Pip learned that the best sounds come from happiness.

Coloring page Age Appropriateness

The design uses large, rounded shapes and highly expressive faces, which are easily understood by 3-5 year olds. The concept of finding a sound (a giggle) connects to their sensory exploration. The clear, uncluttered composition helps develop focus and fine motor skills without overwhelming them, making the International Clown Week theme accessible and fun.

Coloring Page Coloring Instructions

Hello little artist! Look at happy Pip! He found his honk. Can you give his big, round nose a bright red color? What color will you make Lulu's silly hair? You can make the teapot and the macaroni box any color you want! Try to stay inside the big, thick lines, but it's okay if you go outside a little. The most important part is to have fun!

Coloring Page Printing Tips

For best results, print on sturdy paper like cardstock to prevent markers from bleeding through. Use your printer's standard or 'normal' quality setting for crisp, clear lines. A good printout makes the International Clown Week coloring adventure even more special!
