Coloring page story

Professor Boffo woke up and put on his shoes. But one was a giant, floppy clown shoe, and the other was a tiny, squeaky mouse slipper. "Oh, my!" he exclaimed. "I'm all mismatched!"

He tried to walk, but it was very hard. Flop-squeak, flop-squeak.

Instead of changing, Pip had an idea. "It's not a mistake! It's 'Mismatched Shoes Day'!"

Soon, all the clowns were wearing mismatched shoes. Lulu wore one boot and one ballet slipper. Giggles wore one fin and one roller skate. They invented a new dance called the Wobbly-Flop. (Action: Let's stomp one foot and then tip-toe on the other. You’re doing the Wobbly-Flop!)

The Twist: Everyone in Giggleburg saw them and wanted to join in! The mayor came out wearing one fuzzy slipper and one shiny dress shoe. Being different wasn't a problem; it was a party!

Coloring page Age Appropriateness

For ages 3-5, this page is excellent for object identification ('Can you find the roller skate?'). The silly, mismatched concept is funny and memorable. Focusing on the shoes simplifies the image, preventing it from being too complex while highlighting the story's core message. It celebrates being different in a very visual, positive way.

Coloring Page Coloring Instructions

It's time for the Wobbly-Flop dance! Let's give these clowns the silliest shoes ever. Can you make the giant shoe purple? How about a sparkly, yellow roller skate? Each shoe can be a different color! Let's color the musical notes too, to show what a happy dance this is. This is a perfect party for International Clown Week!
