A little monkey named Miko was lost! He had chased a butterfly into the Baobab Maze, where all the big trees looked the same. "Eek! Eek!" he cried.

Far away, Kai the young elephant heard the tiny cry for help. His heart beat fast. Thump-thump, thump-thump. The maze was spooky. But a friend was in trouble!

"I must be brave," Kai whispered. He entered the maze. CRUNCH, SNAP went the twigs under his feet. He used his big ears to listen. "Eek!" The sound was to the left. He turned left. He used his long trunk to smell. He smelled scared monkey. The smell was straight ahead!

He followed the sounds and smells until he found Miko shivering at the bottom of a huge tree. But the way back was blocked by a big fallen log!

Kai didn't panic. He put his strong head against the log. He pushed. GRRRRUUUNNNT! He pushed harder. HRRRNNNGGG! With one mighty heave, the log rolled away! CRRAAASSH! The path was clear. Kai had saved the day.
