Coloring page story

A special event was happening in Color-by-Number Meadow: it was time to color the Great Rainbow after the rain! A beautiful arch stretched across the sky, divided into sections with numbers: 1, 2, 5, 4, 3, 6.

"Wait a minute," said Ferdinand, scratching his head. "That's not right."

The numbers were all mixed up! If they colored them in that order, the rainbow would be Red, Orange, Pink, Yellow, Green, Blue. A jumbled, higgledy-piggledy rainbow.

“What a mess!” cried Lily.

“Don’t worry!” said Pip, taking charge. “We just have to work together. We’ll call out the real rainbow order!”

So they lined up with their crayons. “First is Number 1, Red!” Pip shouted. Ferdinand zipped up and tapped the first stripe. A perfect red band appeared.

“Next is Number 2, Orange!” Barnaby called out. Pip scampered to the second stripe and zinged it orange.

But the next stripe in the arch was number 5. "Skip that one!" said Lily. "We need Number 4, Yellow!" She found the fourth stripe in the mixed-up arch and carefully colored it yellow. They worked together, finding the right number in the jumbled line-up and coloring it in the correct order. Green, then Blue, then Purple.

Soon, a perfect, beautiful rainbow shimmered across the sky in the right order. They all cheered, looking at their handiwork. They had taken a muddled-up puzzle and, by working as a team and communicating, turned it into something beautiful and orderly.
